To decide on the type of intervention, you will have a preliminary visit involving a thorough interview with the team of surgeons at Academia Day Clinic, led by Dr. Eugenio Gandolfi. During the interview, your needs and expectations will be assessed. It is essential that your cosmetic surgeon understands your wishes deeply, to be able to best advise and direct you on the best methods, forms, and volumes most suitable for you.
The procedure is non-invasive.
There are no cuts (nor of the skin, glandular tissues, or of the muscles), so stitches are not required.
The small holes created by the needles disappear after a short time.
The adipose tissue is particularly ductile and plastic, and not only allows us to enlarge your breasts, but also to reshape them, rendering the end result more natural and closer to your desires.
Given the absolutely minimally invasive nature of this procedure, the pain is minimal both during surgery and in the post-operative period. A slight annoyance is certainly not comparable to the pain present after the intervention with the prosthesis. However, anesthesia is still available and may be adjusted according to the requirements of the patient.
The mastoplasty with a fat autograft gives women an extra advantage because it allows them to naturally increase their breast size and, at the same time, undergo a liposculpture that corrects any roundness (legs, buttocks, abdomen, etc.). As if to say: "Solve all the problems that come with trying on your bikini once and for all."
Sometimes, it is possible that an intervention with silicone implants is no longer satisfactory because the prosthesis is palpable and you get the impression that the implants are too visible.
Situations that are even more difficult may also occur, such as a so-called "rejection," i.e. the capsular contracture that can cause pain and deformities in breasts with artificial implants.
In all of these cases, breast augmentation with an autologous fat transfer is definitely recommended because it allows for the remediation of the aforementioned situations without risk, in a natural and satisfying way. In addition, the stem cells that are injected along with the fat have therapeutic and regenerative capabilities that help the body restore the previous situation, while maintaining the extra size (or sizes) that are so highly desired.
The recovery is very quick.
- The additive mastoplasty with an autologous fat transfer is absolutely non influential on pregnancy and lactation.
- The additive mastoplasty with an autologous fat transfer is particularly suitable in the case of asymmetrical breasts, since it is possible to create an accurate "equalization," either by increasing both breasts with different volumes of fat, or even performing one augmentation surgery and one reduction surgery at the same time for an ideal result.
If the intervention is for purely aesthetic purposes, the patient will be responsible for the full cost.
In the event that reconstructive action is necessary for diseases of the breast that have been acknowledged by the insurance company or by the National Health System, it's possible to get a contribution, the amount of which depends on the conventions that are present.
